Few natural Ports of the Mediterranean are as spectacular as Mahón’s with almost six Km in lenght, the canal has historically been the gateway for numerous civilizations and at present, registers the activity of regular passenger boats, tourist cruisers, merchandise and soprt boats.
The entrance navigated NW between the high peninsula of the Mola, which is to starboard, and the rocky cliff of Punta de San Carlos. All kinds of luminous beacons abound which cleary guide the navigation throughout the interior of the port.
We must emphasize the reef located in the S side of the Illa de Llatzaret that taking the entrance between the buoys it’s a Starboard.
